We Read Too now has a shop on Bookshop! Bookshop is an online bookstore with a mission to financially support local, independent bookstores. Read more about Bookshop here.

The links on the detail page in the We Read Too app currently redirect to Amazon, but for years I've wanted a way to easily support independent bookstores through the in-app links. Now, with Bookshop, that's possible! I'm currently working on migrating all the links to Bookshop links, hopefully should be finished in the next few weeks.

Being a Bookshop affiliate allows me to link the books in the app to my shop and create topical lists where I can showcase specific titles from We Read Too's catalog. The first list I've created is the Anti-Racist Reads For Kids and Teens, which was featured on the Bookshop homepage! The affiliate proceeds will be donated to independent bookstores owned by people of color. The first bookstore the donations will go to is Marcus Book Stores, the oldest Black-owned bookstore in the United States, located in Oakland, CA. They are currently running a GoFundMe for the 60th anniversary of the store being opened.
